Meet Jonathan
Creator of Dare to Become
At 40, Jonathan Cave was a successful law-firm partner serving ultra-wealthy families. The life he had built looked perfect; the reality was different—he was restless, drained, unable to enjoy his success, and increasingly aware that he wasn’t living as his authentic self.
Determined to change, Jonathan chose to look inward. He mapped his values, talents, and aspirations, examined how he made decisions, rebuilt his daily energy and presence, and aligned who he was with how he acted. That shift—from performance on autopilot to purpose in action—helped him dare to become his high-energy, high-performing, authentic self.
Since 2016, he has lead a team that designs Dare to Become experiences for individuals, leaders, and teams—helping them turn inner clarity into behaviours that create lasting impact.
His first book, The Tree and the Mountain – Dare to Become, was born from this transformation and invites readers to reflect on their own search for meaning, purpose, and authenticity.
What is Dare to Become?
Dare to Become is Jonathan’s signature, inside-out approach to leadership and personal development.
Great leadership of self and others begins within, and the journey inward is what unlocks the clarity, confidence, and energy to inspire others and perform at your best in any role or situation.
The Dare to Become approach consists of three main steps
- Identifying who you truly are — your values, talents, and aspirations.
- Understanding how you operate — your internal systems (mind-set, decision-making, confidence, etc.).
- Aligning identity with behaviours/actions – where purpose flows into action, and action creates impact.
By going through the Dare to Become approach, people learn to:
- Develop exceptional leadership
- Build an aligned, high-performing team
- Become a better version of themselves
